Welcome to Meg E Mouse

Hello, friends! I’m Megan, or as you’ll come to know me here, Meg E Mouse! (A play on words using my first and middle name, Megan Elizabeth, and everyone's favorite mouse)

I’m a lifelong Disney enthusiast and creative professional. Originally from Ohio, I’m counting down the final weeks until my big move to Orlando, Florida, where I’ll be joining the Disney College Program and officially launching my start with the Walt Disney Company. This is the first step in my goal to build a long term career with the company, and I can’t wait to share every magical step of the journey with you.

My Disney Story

Young MeganDisney has always been a huge part of my life. As a child who was unknowingly autistic, I found comfort and escape in Disney movies. I’d watch the same film on repeat, rewinding the VHS until the tape wore out (yes, I’m a bit older than most DCP participants!), and I’d recite every line right along with my favorite characters.

I saw myself in Ariel’s intense interests and her longing to fit in, even when she couldn’t find her voice. I dreamed of exploring “the great wide somewhere” like Belle, eager to break free from a town that often made me feel out of place. Disney’s stories taught me to embrace my differences, thanks to characters like Elsa and Vanellope. They taught me to challenge the norm, just like Merida and Mulan. Disney helped shape who I am, and it continues to be a huge part of my life today.

From Honeymoon to Home

Megan and Jonny Wedding In 2019, I married my high school best friend turned boyfriend of 6 years. Our honeymoon was at Walt Disney World, and while I was thrilled with the plan, I worried my husband might not have the same intense feelings towards the parks as me. Fast forward to today—we’ve visited the parks at least once every year since, spend most evenings watching Disney park content, and are now preparing to move our lives to the most magical place on Earth.

My Creative Path

Photography has been a passion of mine for over 17 years. I’m currently finishing up a degree in business management at WGU, where I discovered that content marketing is where my interest truly lies. It’s the perfect blend of my business education and creative background, and it’s led me to pursue my ultimate goal: a full-time career in marketing or photography with the Walt Disney Company.
